Restore Medical was founded in 1999 by Mark Knudson, Ph.D. to address the huge problem of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). At that time, expensive and painful surgical procedures with high morbidity were the standard options. In response, Restore Medical developed a better solution – the patented Pillar® Procedure.

The results of extensive clinical trials show significant reduction in snoring. Patients and their bed partners experience high satisfaction with sustained results. For obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), physicians observed significant reduction in Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI), with sustained benefits at one year. The Pillar Procedure is the first and only FDA cleared palatal implant system to treat snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) that helps patients sleep better, feel better and live better.

We're not stopping with the success of the Pillar Procedure.
